More Dog days of summer

Now, who doesn't love ice cream on a hot summer day? I sure do. So, when I picked up our local dog publication and saw a recipe for dog ice cream - I had to try it!

There were two recipes listed. I went for the one with banana because I just happened to have a plenty ripe banana on the counter.

Nicely frozen, ready for storage in a freezer bag.

Now, for the real test - will they like the treats?

Do they like them? The short answer is YES!

Buddy preferred to eat his in the bushes.

Tater was a little hesitant at first and needed his mom's help.

We tried these out on five dogs. A couple of the dogs ate them so fast, but then a few did enjoy the special treats for longer. Buddy said it made the hot summer day that much better... the next task is a nice nap in the shade!
